Thomas RYDER (London 1745ca - 1810) "Her Most Gracious Majesty Queen Charlotte" Original etching and dotted manner by a subject by Sir William Beechey painted in 1796, directly commissioned by the English Royal House and now preserved in the Royal Collection, published in 1804 as frontispiece of the second volume of the collection entitled "Shakespeare Imperial Gallery" published in London by John and Josiah Boydell. Beautiful specimen printed on ungrained paper bearing the "J.Whatman" watermark with large margins beyond the copper footprint, slight corrugations of the paper and small defects on the edges but overall in excellent general condition. George III's wife is portrayed in the park of Frogmore House, she wears a precious white dress and holds her small Maltese dog in her arms. Bibliography: Slater "Engravings and their value" London 1912 pag. 580. The Royal Collection RCIN405423 Measurements in mm: 590 x 417
